Anja Churchill is an American-Swedish singer-songwriter known for her otherworldly voice and raw, transportive storytelling. With roots in world music and sound healing, she has spent over a decade crafting intimate, atmospheric folk that draws listeners into dreamlike spaces. Her debut EP, Children of the North (out May 1), is a haunting meditation on death, belonging, and the unseen threads that connect us. Influenced by the quiet intensity of 1960s folk and a life shaped by chronic illness, Anja’s sound is both minimal and deeply emotional. She has performed in Sweden, Australia, Los Angeles, and Seattle, recently appearing at St. Karins Cathedral as part of One Billion Rising. Now based between Gotland and the south of France, Anja is building her presence across intimate venues, sacred spaces, and festivals in Europe and North America.
